Badlands National Park
Badlands National Park is home to one of the largest fossil beds in the world. Because of the rapid erosion, fossils are still often found. The Ben Reifel Visitor Center contains lots of information about the fossils as well as educational materials.
A lot of South Dakota history is part of the Badlands story. Enjoy the beauty of the landscape but take the time to research the human history of the area as well.
